How can you be so busy you forget your birthday?
It’s been three years since we started The Hector Company and what a journey it has been! As I reflect on our journey so far, I’m filled with gratitude and appreciation for all our amazing experiences and people I’ve encountered on the way. When I first started, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I was just doodling on a canvas with some paints, little did I know that three years later I would have a range of products with a growing pack of my funky, colourful dogs on. My product range has grown way bigger than I ever imagined and now I am motivated to go even further. Life outside of The Hector Company is super busy but that’s for another blog! The Best parts
One of the best parts of running The Hector Company has been the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world. I have met so many amazing customers, both physically, on the phone and online, who have supported me from the very start and have become loyal fans and even friends. It’s incredible to think my artwork hangs in peoples home from the UK to Australia and many countries in between, even Egypt! I’m chuffed to think that my products make people smile and bring happiness.
I’ve also had the pleasure of working with and collaborating with other small businesses, suppliers and stockists. I try hard to support other businesses with my own and I thank my customers and stockists for supporting me in that as its not always the cheapest option.
Running a small business is not without its challenges. I’ve had a fair few over the last three years but using the ups and downs as learning curves I think I have navigated my way through with resilience and determination to make, whatever the challenge is, work. I’ve never lost sight of my vision for The Hector Company and my customers.
So, as we celebrate three years of The Hector Company, I’m filled with excitement and optimism for the future. I’m looking forward to creating new dogs to add to the pack, sourcing new products to add to the range, collaborating with other small businesses and connecting with more amazing new customers along the way.
